Day 1

Africa on Foot

Embark on a brief 45-minute journey from Hoedspruit Airport to Africa on Foot, keeping an eye out for wildlife sightings en route.

Upon reaching your destination, indulge in a refreshing welcome drink while receiving a comprehensive safety briefing and orientation of the camp. Your attentive camp manager will then escort you to your cosy rondavel-style accommodation.

Take a moment to settle in and enjoy lunch at the main dining area before setting off for an evening game drive in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. Stop for sundowners at a picturesque location and partake in a brief night drive back to camp, where a crackling campfire awaits you in the boma area.

Dinner will be a delightful affair served in the dining area, featuring a tasty three-course meal to tantalize your taste buds before retiring for the night.

Day 2

Africa on Foot

Begin your day with an early wake-up call, greeted by steaming coffee and traditional rusks at the camp’s main area, before embarking on an exhilarating 3-hour morning bush walk. You even may encounter the Big 5 on foot, under the watchful expertise of a professional trails guide.

Following your morning adventure, return to camp for a hearty breakfast. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Choose to unwind in the camp’s main area or bask in the sun on the deck surrounding the pool (there are two to choose from).

Later in the day, enjoy a delicious lunch before setting off on an afternoon game drive, complete with picturesque sundowners and an enchanting night drive back to camp.

Conclude your day with a delectable dinner, marking your final night at Africa on Foot. For those seeking an extra dose of adventure, consider reserving the treehouse for a night.

Spend an unforgettable evening under the twinkling stars, and let yourself be serenaded by the thrilling contact calls of lions and hyenas.

Day 3

Africa on Foot to Nyala Safari Lodge

Start your day with an early morning wake-up call, complete with coffee and rusks, before embarking on your final bush walk at Africa on Foot.

After this informative experience, return to camp for a satisfying breakfast, then take some time to freshen up and prepare for your next adventure. Bid farewell to Africa on Foot as you depart for Nyala Safari Lodge.

Meet your Nyala Safari guide at the Jejane Gate for a quick 40-minute drive to the lodge. Arrive to a welcome drink, and receive a briefing by the camp host before being shown to your classic rondavel-style chalet under the trees.

Then it’s time for lunch in the main area, after which you will depart for your afternoon game drive. Your guide will pack a cooler box with your choice of drinks and you’ll “drop anchor” in the bushveld to observe golden hour in the bushveld.

Enjoy the Mohlabetsi beauty and wildlife for a couple of hours before returning to camp for dinner and your first night at Nyala Safari Lodge.

Day 4

Nyala Safari Lodge

Rise to an early wake-up call followed by coffee and rusks. After a warm cuppa, you will depart for a morning game drive and (hopefully) encounter some of the Big 5 on drive. The guiding and tracking team at Nyala are experts at tracking wildlife across their 5000 hectare traverse.

Upon your return to camp, a hearty breakfast will be served. The rest of the morning is yours to enjoy, whether you choose a relaxing siesta or some quiet birdwatching around the lodge.

Wooden walkways meander through the lodge, offering stunning wilderness views and peaceful nooks perfect for unwinding.

Later in the afternoon, lunch will be served, followed by a sunset game drive with classic sundowners to end the day. After the drive, return to camp for a campfire gathering and a delicious three-course dinner before settling in for your final night at Nyala Safari Lodge.

Day 5

Nyala Safari Lodge to Chacma Bush Camp

Start your day with an invigorating early morning game drive, taking in the sights and sounds of the African bush as you search for wildlife in the company of experienced guides.

Following your adventure, indulge in a mouthwatering breakfast prepared by the talented chef at Nyala Safari Lodge. After breakfast, take some time to freshen up and bid farewell to the dedicated team from Nyala.

Then, embark on your journey back to Chacma Bush Camp reminiscing on the unforgettable experiences and cherished memories created during your stay in the heart of the Kruger wilderness.

Although sightings are never guaranteed, the chances of seeing these sought-after species are high.

Upon your return to camp, indulge in a delicious breakfast to refuel for the day’s adventures. Take some time to relax with an afternoon siesta or opt for a game viewing session on the pool deck overlooking the waterhole.
