Location
Located in the Klaserie Private Nature reserve, just one hour’s drive from Hoedspruit town and 40 minutes from the airport. Sharing unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park and Timbavati, enjoy traversing 13 000 hectares of diverse, untamed terrain.
Lodge & Rooms
The camp’s main area blends traditional safari style with comfort: enjoy hearty home-cooked meals, drinks at the bar, and evenings around the fire-lit boma. The two swimming pools – one beside the camp and another near the treehouse – offer welcome relief from the heat, with elephants known to visit during the dry winter months.
Each room is styled with earthy tones, quality linen, and en-suite bathrooms. Two family units cater for those travelling with children, while outdoor showers in select rooms allow for a refreshing rinse beneath the open sky.
Wildlife
During the dry season, sparse vegetation draws wildlife to watering holes, while in the wet season, animals spread out amid dense foliage. Over a 2-3 night stay, you can expect to see the Big Five and two resident lion prides—the Ross and Giraffe. Other common wildlife includes giraffe, zebra, hyena, hippo, impala, kudu, baboon, and more. You also might see wild dog, cheetah, honey badger, and serval.
Birdlife features vultures, owls, bee-eaters, rollers, eagles, hornbills, and shrikes.
