Location
Located close to the major hub of Kasane, and cocooned between Zambezi National Park and Chobe National Park, makes the lodge easily accessible. Most safari goers fly into Kasane Airport, and arrange a transfer for their onward journey. The lodge is only 50 kilometers on the Kasane Pandamatenga tarred road from Kasane, and it’s only 30 minutes to the Botswana Zimbabwe border. From the airport by road it will take roughly 50 minutes.

Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge sits in the Kasane Forest Reserve overlooking a busy waterhole. It has 20 standard rooms across two levels, each with private balconies, fans, mosquito nets, and safes. Additionally, two Meru-style tents on raised platforms offer a more luxurious option. The lodge combines African-inspired design with modern comforts and includes dining areas, a bar, a curio shop, and a swimming pool with deck seating.
Wildlife
Botswana is a wildlife paradise, with elephants roaming in high numbers, hippos occupying every waterway, and predators roaming the plains. From waterbirds to raptors and passerines, Botswana is a paradise for birders. The Kasane Forest Reserve is known for its prolific populations of buffalo, giraffe, and elephant. Day trips into the Chobe National Park provide ample opportunity to spot predators such as African wild dogs, lions, leopards, and cheetah. There are four distinct wildlife regions in the area, each offering something rare to see.
